Introduction to the I.T.P.

After many years of development we are releasing this professional  International Training Programme for all martial art instructors. It is not style specific and gives the martial art instructor full control. Black Belt International has engaged the services of MASTARR who is a Training Provider who provides internationally recognised courses in subjects outside martial arts. This system builds a complete portfolio of an instructors history and progression with certification from a third party so excellence comes as standard.

 

Objective's

Raising the safety standards and professionalism of martial arts are the aims of any responsible martial arts organisation or its members. Providing a path that produces the evidence that you meet a credible standard, increases student retention while expanding your abilities to recruit new students effectively.

How does it work?

Its simple the instructors who run a group can run the courses themselves in their own classes. The information in the I.T.P. courses is available on CD Rom through the MAonline shop. The martial art instructor qualification is made up of separate modules and teaching that are relevant to professional training personnel. The accreditation is about teaching and not a technique or martial art.

 

Modules

1. Coaching - Communicating and confirmation of learning using key points.

2. Health & Safety - Making sure you meet your duty of care within a traceable  framework.

3. Child Protection - Protecting children who train in your classes.

4. First Aid - When things go wrong ensuring you could cope.

(Red Cross, St Johns, St Andrews are all acceptable modules and stand alone first aid certification.)

 

These 4 modules are the teaching qualification, now add you martial arts certification and you have a qualified martial arts instructor with teaching qualifications recognised outside martial arts. 

 

Enrolling Candidate

Candidates have to be enrolled for mapping and tracking, this is part of the admissions process and is important.  Admissions, only the date of birth is required from each candidate being enrolled. To enrol a candidate click here.

 

Assessment Testing

Instructors run a course for the candidates in their club. When the candidates have completed the course they can take a free online assessment test. Assessments must be registered, register assessments click here.

 

Certification

Accreditation is not done by a martial arts group and it is awarded by a Training Provider to a very high professional standard.  If they pass the assessment they can buy the certification through MAonline subject to the free assessment test. The online exams can be printed and used in building a portfolio of your martial arts abilities. Certificates can be added to the course work for to show a complete path of evidence to excellence.
