Any grade can be presented as an honouree grade if a person is special needs or has a disability. We as a group see that if a person through no fault of their own cannot for fill criteria they cannot be penalised as it may discriminate against a disability or condition. However honouree grades should not be awarded unless a person has shown commitment, dedication and proven their worthiness of it. 

The regular criteria for a honouree Dan grade is

• ð 4th Dan and above for contribution

• ð Traditional time frame is the Dan No is the same in Years

• ð Freestyles Dan grade every 2 years

• ð Recommendations and testimonials from students and instructors.

• ð Grade certificate or photocopy to check date of last grade.

• ð Min 5th Dan - Shihan for founders of new styles and martial arts
