I
attended the seminars to re-take my
Instructors Qualifications which help to
ensure our exacting standards of
teaching are maintained.
I
found this years event to be one of the
best organised up to date as the venue
was not only easy to get to the venue
also had some great space and good
facilities to do what we had to do
martial arts and course wise.
Networking with some of the Worlds best
Martial artists was a must and never
before has the normal martial artist on
the street been able to get closer to
celebrities from the movies and martial
arts world from around the globe. This
can sometimes be a big ego boost for
some but also a good way firing up
ourselves to be more determined to
achieve greater results and fire up
students to see how good they can become
with a little more hard work and
determination.
It
was also good to see that the recent
changes in first aid and health and
safety/child protection had been
integrated into the Instructors courses
which in my view are now presented in a
much more professional way which is
probably due to the integration of the
PTC Qualification being taken up by our
Instructors.
In
all I found the weekend to be extremely
beneficial and in networking with other
instructors gained new Brothers and
Sisters in the martial arts world to be
able to visit or help.
I
spoke to a few about the courses they
where thinking of going on and passed on
what I had learned in doing so and the
benefit they would gain along with their
students.
I do
hope you will pass on my thanks to all
concerned Paul as it seemed a very
professionally organised event.
With
Thanks Ray Heeks and Gareth
