On
arrival I found a very good class of hotel
with the staff, who were very courteous and
pleasant, willing to bend over backwards to
help me. In fact during my stay and on my
check out they were willing to help to the
best of their abilities.
My main contribution was on the Black belt
grading panel. The rest of the panel was of
the highest calibre and I was honoured to be
serving the martial arts with such
respectful and happy people. Looking back at
the candidates for the coveted black belt
1st, 2nd and 3rd Dan's, I thought the
quality and standard was very good indeed. I
am happy to put my name to all of the
candidates who displayed respect, humility,
ability, concern and welfare towards all
concerned.
On running the Semi contact referee seminar,
I was pleased to see a very healthy turnout
and every one was willing to learn and eager
to put into action their new found
abilities. The seminar ran fluidly and was
very informative according to the
participants, who thoroughly enjoyed it.
The networking process was very good as I
was able to meet with a wide range of
martial artists who were of the same kind of
mentality as me and on exchanging contact
points made contact on my arrival at home.
This has led to respective individual
seminars being arranged.
On the Sunday the time table for the
seminars were were very accurate. I took
part and thoroughly enjoyed two of these
seminars. The Krav Maga was light hearted,
informative enjoyable, effective and fun.
The training was geared towards being simple
yet very effective straight away. The
techniques used were self evident and left
you in no doubt as to what the effect would
be. The second seminar was held by one of
Great Britons foremost martial artist. A
very able , funny, pleasant, human and all
round good guy and one of my favourite
martial artist, Mo Teague. The legend that
is Mr Teague did not fail to deliver. The
information came across clear and precise
and with immediate effect. Needless to say
after I had picked myself off the floor,
either through being put there or through
laughing, I was in awe of the range of Mo
Teague's knowledge. Both seminars were very
enjoyable and funny and of course only a
taster of the knowledge of the respective
teachers. I left with a resolve to further
my martial arts knowledge on the next
International Training Weekend.
